Celebrating Public Radio
Public broadcasting is facing immense pressure and loss of funding. Signal Boost! is a series of events to raise funds for WNIJ, our local public radio station. Each event is inspired by public radio program: Sessions from Studio A, Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, and The Moth Story Hour.
We invite locals from all ages and skill levels to join us for an evening of music, poetry, and performance!
Where: The Bike Place
When: 701 N Main St, Princeton, IL 61356
Inspired by the WNIJ Radio Program “Sessions from Studio A”, we want to get to know our local artists and connect them with the community.
In addition to an open sign-up for all interested performers, we’ll be joined by a handful of special guests who have been invited to perform and participate in a short conversation about their music/poetry in front of our audience.
This is a kickoff event for both the Signal Boost series, and The Big Read series, two programs hosted by Midwest Partners.
the Signal Boost series, this is a fundraiser to support our local National Public Radio station – WNIJ Northern Public Radio, which hosts the amazing program, “Sessions
from Studio A”. During the evening, we will have an auction for some funky-fun radio themed merch!
As a part of The Bid Read series, we hope to connect you with poetry that excites you or helps you express your own inner poet!
